Bestselling conservative author Dinesh D'Souza has provoked a firestorm of controversy -- and a hail of abuse from liberals, including White House press secretary Robert Gibbs.

So what's all the fuss about?

It all began with a front cover article D'Souza wrote for Forbes magazine, in which he identified President Obama as the most anti-capitalist, anti-Western and indeed anti-American President in U.S. history.

Even more controversially, D'Souza explained that the deep roots of Obama's contempt for the American Way can be found in the influence of his Kenyan father.

Well, you can imagine the outcry. D'Souza, who is Indian-born, has been denouncedas a racist, liar and much else. Virtually every major liberal commentator and media outlet hasjoined in the name-calling.

But because as it turns out, D'Souza has actually written an entire book in which he makes these same arguments in much greater depth and in fascinating detail, backing it up with reams of evidence that wouldn't fit into a magazine article.
