Hair, Murdock: FBI Outreach to Terrorists

Human Events serves up a two-fer shocker today on the terrorism front. Amid new warnings of possible terrorist attacks against the West, America's law enforcement agencies are mired in political correctness, reaching out to known terrorist groups in their so-called "Muslim outreach" programs. Hamas operative Kifah Mustapha, a man whose name appears on America's highest terror watch list, is a recent recipient of this outreach largesse. Mustapha may not be able to board an airplane but he was given tours of our most secret counterterrorism sites including the National Counterterrorism Center and the FBI facilities at Quantico, Va. Hamas is a front group for the granddaddy of all terrorist groups, the Muslim Brotherhood. A scant three weeks ago the new Brotherhood leader called for violent jihad against the West. And in another shocker from the nation's intelligence services, new revelations from a former member of the intelligence community, the man who created the Muslim Chaplain Program for the Department of Defense (Abdurahman Alamoudi) is an al Qaeda and Hamas Operative now serving 23 years in prison for being a terrorist; the Congressional Muslim Staff Association’s first imam to pray at the U.S. Capitol in 2002 was al Qaeda leader and fugitive Anwar al Awlaki—they just had another al Qaeda operative on the Hill this past April—and the first imam to offer prayers at the Capitol (Siraj Wahhaj) is an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.
