The combat soldiers of the General Staff Reconnaissance Unit successfully release the 100 passengers and crew members of the Belgian "SABENA" airplane. The plane was hijacked on its way from Belgium to Israel by four Fatah operatives. During negotiations with the hijackers, led by Defense Minister Moshe Dayan, the General Staff Reconnaissance Unit, led by Lieutenant Colonel , took over the airplane. During the operation two male terrorists were killed and two female terrorists were captured. One passenger was killed and two passengers were injured. Among those who participated in the operation were a young officer named , who later became the prime minister, and , who later became the head of the Mossad.The only one with "Cojones"!...Sabena airplane hijacked by arab terrorists while en route from Vienna to Tel-Aviv, May 8th 1972. The plane landed in Tel-Aviv. The terrorists demanded Israel to release 100 palestinian terrorist prisoners who were jailed in Israel, otherwise they blow the plane up on its passengers. An elite unit of the Israeli army killed/captured the terrorists in a brilliant operation, pretending to be a technical staff."DADO" - This 'Yugo', broke the Siriyan bones ! ( 17 months later... ).
