Israel has warned that the al-Qaeda is set to wage violence in the Balkans by engaging the network they have established among Albanian and Bosnian Muslims in the region.

FM Lieberman informed PM Gruevski that current information clearly shows that the Balkan region is the next destination of the global Jihad, which aims to establish an infrastructure and recruit activists, says says the press report that is available on the Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs web site.
During the meeting between the Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman and Prime Minister of FYRO Macedonia Nikola Gruevski, Lieberman warned that the worldwide jihad had set its sites on the area of the Balkans as its next target, reports Israeli paper Arutz Sheva.
Quoting Israeli intelligence sources, Lieberman said that Islamic fundamentalists were planning to take advantage of the tension between Muslim and Christian populations in the region, writes Arutz Sheva.
In a press conference, Gruevski confirmed the Israeli warning.
That is not new, we heard before from other sources and situations, about half or a year ago in some mediums in the region. It is upon us to stay ready for any eventuality that can develop in that direction, to have services ready in all countries in order to cut off those activities in case they get organized, said Gruevski to the media home in Skopje.
Lieberman also told Gruevski that Jihad in the Balkans is funded by Iran and radical Saudi elements. They have recruited Bosnian Muslims and Albanians in Kosovo and Macedonia to wage terror.
This can be seen by the attempts of Moslem and Saudi Arabian charity organizations  who have transferred funds to Africa and South America for this purpose  to transfer funds to regions populated by Bosnians and Albanians, says the Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs press report.
Macedonias Minister of the Interior Gordana Jankulovska was also present during the meeting.
The new terrorists would be sent home to stir up trouble, in the hopes that an Islamic revolution could be fostered, Lieberman said and Arutz Sheva reported.
Media in Skopje also notes that the al-Qaeda has been funding these terror recruits via Islamic so-called humanitarian organizations. Israel urged Gruevski not to allow the al-Qaeda to establish roots in the region.
