‘London Taliban’ threatening wimin !
LAHORE - Women who did not wear headscarves are being threatened with violence and even death by Islamist extremists intent on imposing Sharia law on parts of Britain, it was claimed on Sunday, according to the Daily Mail, a British newspaper. The newspaper said other targets of the "Talibanesque thugs," being investigated by the police in the Tower Hamlets area of London, included homosexuals, and stickers had been plastered on public walls stating: “Gay free zone. Verily Allah is severe in punishment.”Whitechapel in east London was at the centre of the hate campaign by the “London Taliban” and posters for H&M, which featured women in bikinis and a racy poster for a Bollywood film, had been defaced, the newspaper said.“An Asian woman who works in a pharmacy in east London was told to dress more modestly and wear a veil or the shop would be boycotted. When she went to the media to talk about the abuse she suffered, a man later entered the pharmacy and told her: ‘If you keep doing these things, we are going to kill you’.The 31-year-old, who is not a practising Muslim, said she has since been told to take holiday by the pharmacy owners and now fears she may lose her job,” the newspaper reported. According to the Mail, Ghaffar Hussain of anti-extremism think tank the Quilliam Foundation told The Sunday Times that the intimidation was the work of “Talibanesque thugs” who thought they had the right to impose their fringe interpretation of Islam on others.Three men had been charged with religiously-aggravated criminal damage in connection with some of the incidents, which had mirrored crude attempts at censorship in Birmingham, said the newspaper. The newspaper quoted Tower Hamlets Borough Commander Paul Rickett as saying it was saddening that a small minority of people existed who did not wish to respect the lifestyle choices of others.“I would like to reassure the people of Tower Hamlets that we are investigating these incidents. At this stage there is no information to suggest any of the incidents are linked. Anyone found committing such criminal acts will face criminal proceedings,” the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.Anjem Choudary, whom the newspaper dubbed a “firebrand Muslim cleric” and “hate preacher”, was quoted as saying that he was aware of individuals who would speak up if they saw a Muslim woman without a headscarf, but insisted they were only giving advice about their views of Islam. He said no threats would be made and described the allegations of death threats as completely ridiculous. “There are groups who propagate Islam, and if they see a Muslim woman without a hijab they may say ‘sister, it’s obligatory that you cover your hair.’ It’s an individual intervention to propagate Islam. For non-Muslims, they may point out to them that women are being exploited in the West. It’s about telling people about the preference of covering up, but nobody’s going to say ‘you are going to be killed,'” the Mail quoted Choudary as saying.Khalid Mahmood, MP for Birmingham Perry Bar, said he had seen posters vandalised in Birmingham but was not aware of threats being made, the British daily reported. “I have seen posters defaced in Birmingham and it’s just complete nonsense. If people choose to follow the religion they should be free to do so and we don’t want to go down the route that the French have done, but these people have to accept other people. If it’s about the freedom to do what you want, others should have the freedom to do what they want to do. It’s the actions of a very small minority, and in Birmingham we have not seen people threaten women who are not wearing the burqa - if someone were to do that the police should be informed,” the newspaper quoted Mahmood as saying.====================================
How the 'London Taliban' is targeting women and gays in bid to impose sharia law.Women who do not wear headscarves are being threatened with violence and even death by Islamic extremists intent on imposing sharia law on parts of Britain, it was claimed today.

Stickers have been plastered on public walls stating: 'Gay free zone. Verily Allah is severe in punishment'.
Posters for H&M which feature women in bikinis and a racy poster for a Bollywood film have been defaced.
It is believed Muslim extremists are behind a spate of attacks being investigated by police, according to the Sunday Times.
How they want to see women: 'Talibanesque thugs' have been threatening women including non-Muslims with violence for not wearing a headscarfAn Asian woman who works in a pharmacy in east London was told to dress more modestly and wear a veil or the shop would be boycotted.
When she went to the media to talk about the abuse she suffered, a man later entered the pharmacy and told her: 'If you keep doing these things, we are going to kill you'.
The 31-year-old, who is not a practising Muslim, said she has since been told to take holiday by the pharmacy owners and now fears she may lose her job.
She said: 'Why should I wear a hijab (headscarf) or burqa? I haven't done anything wrong.'
Other incidents reported include the placing of stickers across the white-minority borough which state it is a 'gay-free zone' and the daubing of paint on posters for clothing shop H&M featuring women in bikinis.
Ghaffar Hussain, of the anti-extremism thin tank the Quilliam Foundation, told The Sunday Times that the intimidation was the work of 'Talibanesque thugs'.
He added: 'This minority think they have the right to impose their fringe interpretation of Islam on others.'
Paul Rickett from the Met Police said: 'I am saddened that there are a small minority of people who do not wish to respect the lifestyle choices of others'.
He added that there was nothing to indicate the incidents were linked.

'It's about telling people about the preference of covering up, but nobody's going to say "you are going to be killed".'
Tower Hamlets has a reputation for being a centre of Islamic extremism in London.
Recently it was revealed Rich Dart, a middle class former BBC worker had converted to Islam and was living in Bow, east London in a £300,000 flat paid for by benefits.
Despite being unemployed, Mr Dart regularly attends Muslim rallies in which he was recently heard to say: 'When the Taliban defeat the allies we will establish Sharia law and take the fight to the enemy.'
Before Christmas posters appeared in the borough claiming the religious festival was 'evil'.
The campaign's organiser was 27-year-old Abu Rumaysah, who once called for Sharia Law in Britain at a press conference held by hate preacher leader Anjem Choudary, the leader of banned militant group Islam4UK.
Mr Rumaysah said: 'Christmas is a lie and as Muslims it is our duty to attack it.
'But our main attack is on the fruits of Christmas, things like alcohol abuse and promiscuity that increase during Christmas and all the other evils these lead to such as abortion, domestic violence and crime.
'We hope that out campaign will make people realise that Islam is the only way to avoid this and convert.'
Hang the bastards !
The military censor lifted the publication ban and now it can safely be revealed that the killers were Amjad Awad 19, and Hakim Awad 18. The two suspects were from the village of Awarta, adjacent to Itamar where the Fogel family lived. The arrests were made possible because the parents struggled with the killers prior to being murdered and thus much DNA evidence was left behind. During the course of the investigation, over 100 DNA samples were taken from residents of Awarta.Hakim’s father Maazan was active in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and served 5 years in a Palestine Authority jail for murdering and burning the body of a female cousin. Hakim’s uncle, Jibril, a PFLP member died in a firefight with the IDF 8 years ago. In 2002 he transported a terrorist to Itamar in an attack that saw the wife and three children of Itamar security officer Boaz Shevo shot dead in their home. Amjad, 19, is a student who has worked in Israel. Both had been planning the attack for several days and tried, but failed, to obtain weapons from PFLP activists. The suspects, members of the same clan showed security forces on Thursday how they snuck into Itamar.TweetThey first broke into an empty house looking for weapons and found a flak jacket, a helmet, a cartridge of bullets and an M-16. They then went to the Fogel house and immediately stabbed Yoav and Elad. They then struggled with and killed the parents. Then, they left the house but returned for Ehud Fogel’s M-16. That’s when they heard the baby Hadas crying and slit her throat. The unrepentant killers told investigators that had they known that there were two other children in the house they would have killed them too. Upon their return to Awarta, a cousin helped them dispose of their bloody clothing and an Uncle went to Ramallah to sell the stolen weapons. The weapons were later recovered at a family member’s home by the IDF. The IDF claims that 6 family members tried to help them cover up the crime.
Some of the suspected accomplices are as follows (as per the Jerusalem Post):
Salah Aladin Salim Awad, 31, of Awarta, is a PFLP member and Hakim’s uncle. He is suspected of aiding and abetting the suspects in covering their tracks after the murders, telling them to burn their blood-soaked clothes, and sending the firearms they stole from Itamar to a friend in Ramallah… Jad Avid, 31, of Ramallah, is suspected of hiding the firearms after receiving them from Salah. He was arrested in his home and the firearms were seized by the IDF… Maazan Niad Awad, 43, of Awarta, is Hakim’s father and a PFLP member… Mahmed Saeed Awad, 26, is a PFLP member in Awarta who the suspects turned to with a request to procure firearms ahead of the Itamar attacks.
The Awad clan is the main clan of Awarta. Both the village chief and his deputy are members. However, this heinous crime seems like it was carried out without the implicit help or approval of any Palestinian group. Not that that helps the Fogel family much. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.

US, Israel 'behind Stuxnet'
TweetUS, Israel 'behind Stuxnet' virus: Iran officer
(AFP) 16/4/11
TEHRAN — The United States and Israel are behind the computer worm Stuxnet designed to hurt Iran's controversial nuclear programme, state news agency IRNA reported Saturday quoting a military officer.
"Investigations and studies show that the source of Stuxnet originates from America and the Zionist regime," the commander of the Iranian civil defence organisation, Gholam Reza Jalali, said.
Jalali was the first Iranian official to accuse Tehran's two arch-foes over the Stuxnet virus. German computer experts and some Western media reports had indicated that the United States and Israel were behind it.
Stuxnet was publically identified last June and it reportedly mutated and wreaked havoc on computerised industrial equipment in Iran in the following months.
The worm was reportedly targeting Bushehr nuclear power plant, where several technical problems have been blamed for delays in getting the facility fully operational.
Jalali said once the worm mounts on a system, it begins to gather information and then sends reports from the infected machines to designated Internet addresses.
"After following up the reports that were sent, it became clear that the final destinations (of these reports) were the Zionist regime and the American state of Texas," he was quoted as saying by IRNA.
In March, a German computer security expert Ralph Langer said he believes the United States and Israel's Mossad had unleashed the Stuxnet worm on Iran's nuclear programme.
But it was the New York Times which reported first in January that US and Israeli intelligence services collaborated to develop the computer worm to sabotage Iran's efforts to make a nuclear bomb.
In November 2010, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad admitted that uranium enrichment -- the most controversial part of Tehran's nuclear programme - had suffered problems caused by the malware but added the issues had been resolved.
Iran's nuclear ambitions are at the heart of a conflict between Tehran and the West, which accuse the Islamic republic of seeking to develop a weapons capability under the cover of a civilian nuclear drive.

Vittorio's mother will be sailing to Gaza
Tweet
Gaza - PNN – Agidea Prata, the mother of Vittorio Arrigoni, the Italian activist and journalist killed in Gaza on Friday, said that she will be sailing to Gaza on May with the Free Gaza flotilla.Prata on Saturday told Italian news sources that “I want to see the Gaza that my son loved and sacrificed for, I want to meet the good people living there that my son Vik always talked about”. She added that Vittorio's work will go on though his friends.Vittorio’s mother added that her son received death threats from a right wing American group on their website two years ago because of his photos published online and the pro Palestinian tattoo he has on his shoulder.
Vittorio first came to Gaza with the Free Gaza folitial in 2008 and used to live in a single bedroom house near Gaza City coastline until he was kidnapped and murdered by armed men.
Also on Saturday organizers of the Free Gaza flotilla announced that next voyage to Gaza will be named “ Freedom Flotilla – Stay Human” in Honor of Vittorio Arrigoni.
“The murder of human rights activist, Vittorio Arrigoni, is a tragedy for his family, for those of us who knew him, and for the Palestinians who loved and admired him. The Steering Committee of Freedom Flotilla 2 condemns this senseless murder and the people who are behind it. They took the life of one of the most passionate supporters of justice for Palestine. This murder is damaging to the Palestinian struggle for freedom and justice as well as our work in support of that struggle.” The group said on their website.
Adding that ““Stay Human he would say, then grin and clench his pipe in his teeth. We will do our best, Vik, to carry on the work you have done. The flotilla will return to Gaza in your honor.”
According to the Free Gaza Movement the group will send a new flotilla to Gaza on May. Last year on May 30th Israeli navy attacked the freedom flotilla boats while sailing in international water to Gaza killing 9 aid workers and injuring 54.
Kenneth Nichols O'Keefe
Kenneth Nichols O'Keefe is an Irish-American activist and former US Marine. He led the human shield action to Iraq and was a passenger on the MV Mavi Marmara during the Gaza flotilla raid. He said that he participated in defending the ship and claimed that he disarmed two Israeli Commandos. In June 2010, O'Keefe was on board the MV Mavi Marmara. During the Gaza flotilla raid, O'Keefe was among the passengers who clashed with the Israeli military. In the course of the clash, O'Keefe claims to have been involved in providing initial first aid to a seriously wounded passenger and disarming two Israeli Commandos. He says he helped to disarm one commando of his gun and aided in subduing another, personally taking possession of a 9mm pistol from the second commando, removing the "real bullets" or live ammunition from the pistol and giving the bullets to others while hiding the weapon. He explained that it was his hope that the weapon could be used as evidence in any subsequent trial. O'Keefe said of the experience that it was like "combat but without combat weapons" and that "We had in our full possession, three completely disarmed and helpless commandos" who were "surrounded by at least 100 men"; "we could have done anything with them." He said that "woman provided basic first aid, and ultimately they were released, battered and bruised for sure, but alive. Able to live another day." O'Keefe was among those arrested and detained in Israel.O'Keefe and another activist say he was beaten at the Tel Aviv airport when he resisted deportation, while still in Israeli custody. He claims that a policeman hit him on the head with a truncheon and that he was choked until he almost blacked out. He said he spent two more days in a detention facility in the airport after the incident. O'Keefe said the Irish consul general tried to convince him to agree to leave and asked him to wash the blood off his face but he refused. A video showing his bloodied face was released upon his arrival in Istanbul. On 6 June, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) charged that O'Keefe is an "anti-Israel extremist" and "operative of the Hamas Terror organization". According to the IDF he was entering the Gaza Strip in order to "form and train a commando unit for the Palestinian terror organization." O'Keefe said "If they had a supposed terrorist in their possession, why the hell did they let me go?" He confirmed that he had held meetings with Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh and other senior Hamas officials.

Vittorio Arrigoni - Dead !
"Who benefits? This is the question we must ask first when something like Vik Arrigoni being kidnapped happens. The answer is, Israel; nobody benefits more than Israel" - Ken O'Keefe
(SALEM / GAZA) - UPDATE: Media sources are reporting that Vittorio Arrigoni was found dead and that the Salafist faction was responsible. His body was reportedly located by Hamas police officers. They said he had been kidnapped, beaten and killed. The video at the bottom of this story shows 'Vik' as he was known to his friends, in captivity. Possibly the strongest voice in the years-long struggle to free Palestine, 36-year old Vittorio Arrigoni, a journalist and activist with the International Solidarity Movement, was kidnapped in Gaza.
From what we understand, a Salafi Group in Gaza claims responsibility for the kidnapping. Later in the day, a youtube video surfaced showing Vittotio blind folded and beaten up. Salafi Jehadis say they are asking Hamas government in Gaza to release Abu Al Waleed Al Maqdisi in 30 hours starting from 11:00 a.m. today or else they would kill him. One person who knows the steadfast dedication of Vittorio 'Vik' Arrigoni is our writer Ken O'Keefe, also in Gaza, who stated the bottom line on this sad day."Who benefits? This is the question we must ask first when something like Vik Arrigoni being kidnapped happens. The answer is, Israel; nobody benefits more than Israel.""So whether they are false-Muslims or agents of Israel, those that have Vik are serving Israel."All journalists in Gaza, Vittorios friends here and his friends everywhere are asking Hamas to immediately intervene and release Vittiorio who worked hard to help Gaza for a long time. Arrigoni recently penned two stories for Salem-News.com about Gaza. He has shown the world who he is, now the world needs to show Vik that they are with him. According to PalToday Magazine, Italian Foreign Affairs Office declared the loss of communication with one of their citizens in Gaza without mentioning names of confirming that its Vittorio, but its obvious in the Youtube Video shared earlier that its him.Ansar Al Sunah "Salafi" Group in Gaza, declared their responsibility of Vittorio's abduction and said they will release a press release soon. Around 4:30 p.m. west coast time, it was tweeted that Vittorio was reportedly in the al-Dughmoush family block in Gaza, and the Hamas police were surrounding the area. Several members of the al-Dughmoush family are said to be associated with Salafist. This is a group that reportedly looks down on Hamas for not being sufficiently religious and they are known for a rejection of western influence. The only other thing to say at the time of this update is that there is no evidence or credible statements about Vittorio having died. There was a report of this published by al-Arabiya. They reported that he was found in the al-Saftwai area. However there is no real knowledge at this time as to his disposition. All indications say he is alive.
Stainless steel tunnels are stronger !...
Four Palestinians died Tuesday in a smuggling tunnel beneath the Gaza-Egypt border, according to medics in Gaza. Authorities with Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, said the men suffocated while repairing the tunnel, which they said had been hit by an Israeli missile several days ago during a recent wave of violence. Some people have died in the tunnels in the past after being overcome by fumes while smuggling fuel to Gaza.Strange !...Usually, Hamas sees such accidents as "A Zionist Delayed Aggression" which is 'punished' with a salvo of Qassam rockets! This time, SILENCE !...

he is 'using Muslims'
A Georgia grandmother who says she sent state Sen. Greg Ball a Curious George monkey with a label saying it was bound for Auschwitz, cheap perfume and an anger-filled, anti-Semitic letter also laid claim Wednesday to mailing a bloody pig's foot to Rep. Peter King of Long Island.Jameela Barnette, a radical Muslim blogger, said Wednesday she mailed Ball a box containing the plush monkey pinned with Stars of David and the letter (which addressed Ball as "Dead Man Walking") because he is "using Muslims to further his career."
"I sent it to let him know I am extremely displeased for his declaration of war on Muslims, which is what I regard those hearings as," said Barnette, a medical records consultant.
The package was mailed to Ball's Albany office, prompting a response Tuesday by nearby state police and the Albany Fire Department Hazardous Materials unit, who transported it to a a state Health Department laboratory for analysis.
Ball, R-Carmel, chairs the Senate Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs Committee, which convened last week in New York City to assess the region's preparedness for another terrorist attack. The gathering attracted criticism from some Democratic senators and community and religious groups. They faulted Ball for unfairly linking Islamic religious practices with America's security.
King spoke at Ball's hearing. He clashed with Muslims last month after organizing congressional hearings into the radicalization of Muslims in this country.
Capitol Police last week were investigating a package containing the pig's foot and a letter mailed to King's Washington, D.C., office.
Barnette, who has posted anti-Jewish, pro-Muslim writings on blogs and websites, said Wednesday "no one gets upset if someone burns a Quran" but everyone is offended if Jews are disparaged.
"I knew the Jews were behind the hearings. A monkey is a representation of who the Jews are," said Barnette, in explaining why she chose the beloved children's storybook character as a symbol.
The following is the entire letter sent to US Congressman Peter King, as claimed by Jameela.Original Letter Sent to Rep. Peter King Along with the Jew/Pig Foot

Rep. Peter King
339 Cannon House Office Bldg.
Washington, DC 20505 Asa Lamu Laikum You Dirty-white, Racist, Terrorist Dog,
NOTE: The rest is beneath the fold, the whole rancid, disgusting diatribe.
I am returning to you a Jew foot I found lying around in a supermarket. I know it belongs to a Jew because it has a cloven hoof, the telltale signs of a cursed Jew. Please return the enclosed pig foot to your Jew master you rabid, Evangelical dog of extremely low intelligence. I am sure the evil Jew's will return this pig hoof to Palestine for a proper burial befitting a Jew pig. The following Verse of the Qur'an proves that the enclosed pig hoof does belong to your Jew masters.
(Say [O Muhammad to the people of the Scripture): "Shall I inform you of something worse than that, regarding the recompense from Allah? Those [Jews] who incurred the Curse of Allah and His Wrath, and those of whom [some] He transformed into monkeys and swines, and those who worshipped Taghut [false deities]; such are worse in rank [on the Day of Resurrection in the Hell-fire], and far more astray from the Right Path [in the life of this world]".)
The future of America will be a bright, Muslim-friendly America, it will be an America where white bitches will name their sons Mohammad and those former, blond-haired, blue-eyed, bible-belt bitches will veil their dirty-white faces and the faces of their dirty-white daughters and all will be well. You deluded, cannibalized, Christian ghouls have three options and those options are as follows:
1) Admit defeat and embrace Islam
2) Admit defeat and embrace Islam
3) Admit defeat and embrace Islam
Now I invite you to kiss my black, Muslim-American ass if you can reach high enough you low crawling, deluded, ugly mutha fuckin ass-wipe of the Jews. Now report me to the Capitol Police as you did the last time you fuckin coward and I will give them Jew-worshippers the same invite I just gave you.
Kind Regards,

Am I an "Ikhwanophob" ? YES !
TweetThe Arab world is undergoing a remarkable winter uprising. Unlike, the social revolutions of yesteryear, which were framed in the context of radical ideologies against a socio-economic elite, the revolts in the Arab street lack a clear ideological foundation and are spontaneous uprisings against the excesses of the state, lack of good governance, rule of law and accountability. The common denominator between Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Algeria and Jordan is the inability of their regimes to promulgate real meaningful political and economic reforms. Politically, Arab authoritarian states feature the same menu of political manipulation featuring electoral engineering, limited space for opposition politics, and violations of individual civil liberties.Economically, Arab autocrats in a bid to tighten control over the political system built an elaborate kleptocratic and clientelistic system that have siphoned off billions of dollars to the ruling elite and its state and social allies. It is not surprising then that the uprisings are largely led by disenchanted unemployed or under-employed youth. The IMF, for instance, estimates that Egypt needs approximately 10 million jobs, roughly 12% of its population. The numbers are even higher in countries such as Tunisia, Morocco, Jordan and Lebanon. With protests scheduled in Syria (Feb.4-5), Algeria (Feb. 12) and Libya (Feb.17), Arab leaders are scrambling to engage in impromptu "reforms." King Abdullah of Jordan sacked the government for lack of economic and political progress, and Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh announced he won't be seeking reelection amidst protests in Sana'a. These knee-jerk decisions won't probably make a difference to the Arab street. We've already seen clear determination with the Egyptians that anything short of the complete ouster of the Mubarak regime is unacceptable. The octogenarian has been stalling amidst local and international calls for a regime change. One thing is sure, Mubarak has started a power transition after declaring he will step down in September and his appointment of Omar Suleiman, former head of the intelligence services, as his VP for the first time in 30 years. He has also unleashed his thugs in Tahrir Square to intimidate and crack down on the protesters. All are acts of a desperate man cognizant of the fact that his days are numbered at the helm of the largest Arab country. In all likelihood, we won't see a true transition to democratic (good) governance in Egypt, as the military has simply no vested interest in giving up its socio-economic privileges. The events in Tahrir today speak volumes about the complicity of the military in keeping more of the same regime structure intact. As we speak, the military is calling on the protesters to go back home. This is radically different from the Tunisian case where the military and General Ammar made a decision to back the Tunisian street, since the army has traditionally been apolitical and on the margin of political institutions. The short term future in Egypt bears continuous strikes and social mobilization efforts to sustain the pressure on the regime. Finally, the US needs to better prepare and position itself for an eventual change of the guards in the Middle East. Behind the scenes, the US ought to exercise more pressure on all Arab regimes to undergo real, not cosmetic political reforms. This is a momentous opportunity for the US to appeal to the Arab street after decades of disastrous foreign policy in the region. In public, the US has to stand by the Arab street and engage channels of communication with all forces of the opposition, including the Islamists.Any real democratic change in the Middle East won't be complete without a full Islamist participation. Setting the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt or An-Nahda in Tunisia as scarecrows is dishonest and showcases the US continuous failure to accurately appraise political Islam. Being the most organized political force in Egypt dictates that the Muslim Brotherhood might have a larger role in any potential post-Mubarak, but freer Egypt. Inclusion of democratic Islamists will make them stakeholders in the political system and showcases their diversity as nationalist, liberal, entrepreneurial movement, and yes with an Islamic reference seeking a better future for Egypt. The US and domestic forces in the Arab world need not indulge in this mainstream "Ikhwanophobia," for as long as Islamist groups and parties are willing to abide by legal norms, their participation in the future of the Arab Middle East should be encouraged.

No place to hide !Israel May Shelter Yemeni Dictator
( Finally, Israel will have its first Yemeni President !... The last one was from Iran... )
TEHRAN (FNA)- A prominent Yemeni politician underlined the imminent collapse of Ali Abdullah Salah's regime, and said the Zionist regime has decided to shelter the Yemeni dictator.
"All the Yemeni people are aware that Ali Abdullah Saleh has strong secretive ties with Tel Aviv and I predict that after his ouster, Saleh will escape to Tel Aviv which is the best place for him," Abdullah Al-Hakami told FNA on Wednesday.

Where is Israel in the Arab Spring?
There was one striking thing missing from the events in the Middle East in past months: Israel. While certainly mentioned and condemned, none of the demonstrations centered on the issue of Israel. Israel was a side issue for the demonstrators, with the focus being on replacing unpopular rulers. This is odd. -- George FriedmanSomething more important to the protesters than Israel? Their own freedom? It is odd. But not everyone put Israel on the back burner. In fact, Israel is still in as much danger, or perhaps even more, than before the so-called Arab Spring. In fact, earlier this month Palestinian terrorists operating out of the Gaza Strip launched a barrage of no fewer than 45 missiles, rockets and mortar shells at communities in southern Israel and fired a shoulder-launched anti-tank missile at an Israeli school bus. PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad’s political advisor Omar al-Ghoul told the Arab audience that 'the school bus was not that badly damaged'. In fact...In the Hamas daily Falastin, an article translated by Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) was headlined, “Israel's Claim of Attack on Bus Is Exaggerated – Just Like the Holocaust.”The United Nations wants to make this same group of prople the State of Palestine. So what of these Arab protests and Israel's future? The new Arab world, same as the new Arab world, only maybe worse.
From an Arab Spring to a Muslim Winter?
The Communists wanted to turn every country in the world into communists, the Muslims want to turn every nation Islamic, and we want to turn them all into Democrats....[snip]Lately some of us have gotten caught up in the idea that the Arabs have finally become just as passionate about democracy as us. But where we have come to value democracy as an end, their passion is for democracy as a tool of change, a means, not an end. Even the most devout Mahmoud, his scraggly beard caught in the pages of the Koran, blesses democracy as Halal, so long as it ushers in the rule of the devout. What matter if the Caliphate of the 12th Imam comes by way of a lottery, inherited monarchy or the ballot box-- so long as it comes. --Sultan KnishThe belief is that the 12th Imam is very near, the global Caliphate will be eventually be achieved, and Israel will be destroyed. That belief remains constant in spite of the protests for freedom.Moqtada al Sadr is back in Iraq and insisting that American troops leave Iraq, a country that is still not stable and may revert. Afghanistan wants Western troops gone. Our military leader Gen. David Petraeus was photographed wearing Afghani headdress and full garments. Our soldiers under current Rules of Engagement, often must let terrorist go even when they are caught red-handed carrying out terrorist attacks. Pakistan orders us to stop the drone attacks. Why does any of the above matter? Because the less effective our military is and the fewer of them there are on the ground and in the region, the more vulnerable Israel is? Or because in spite of all the money and blood we have spent on these nations, they still hate us?
The world situation is truly remarkable, unexplainable, just plain curious. Here in the United States the Obama Administration refuses to hand over evidence, delaying trial of Fort Hood jihad murderer. What are they hiding? Dhimmitude, failure on the part of Hasan's superiors to take action for fear of being called an Islamophobe. Making excuses for aiding a terrorist here on our own soil and not one head has rolled?
There are fresh Muslim protests in Afghanistan against the burning of a Koran here in the U.S. Two brave Iranian men in Iran risk their lives and burn the Koran while in the UK men are arrested for doing the same thing. Where is the freedom of speech? Not in Iran or the UK.Iran's neighbors are worried, Arab states worried, Israel is worried. Where is the U.S.?How sadly ironic. A few years ago, the two previous U.S. presidents were trying to get Gulf Arab states to do more to foster an Arab-Israeli peace settlement and to stand up against Iran. They didn't respond very much. Now they are ready for the battle and the current U.S. government is at best neutral and at worst on the other side! -- Barry RubinIsrael and the United States are at a turning point. I truly believe that the decisions that are made in the next few years with greatly alter our future, for good or for bad, and our survival depends on those decisions.Where is Israel in the Arab Spring? In a vise and the screws are tightening! For the United States and Europe, the merger of Islamists and democrats is an explosive combination. Apart, they do little. Together, they could genuinely destabilize the region and even further undermine the U.S. effort against jihadists. The United States and Europe want Israel to restrain itself but cannot restrain Hamas. Another war, therefore, is not out of the question — and in the end, the decision to launch one rests with Hamas.

Mossad operatives are working overtime !
Israeli commandos raided a ship containing weaponsdestined for Gaza thanks to specific intelligence.Mossad linked to six weeks of mysterious deaths, sabotage
A line of vehicles proceeds along the Sudanese coast at night. Suddenly, an explosion. A rocket fired from an unmanned drone has destroyed one of the cars, killing the two men inside.
The next day one of the dead men is identified as a senior Hamas operative, Abdel Latif al-Ashkar, in charge of an arms smuggling operation from Iran to Gaza. Sudanese officials accuse Israel's Mossad of the killings.
If this version of the incident last week is true - and an unnamed Israeli official told Time Magazine that it is - then Mossad operatives have been working overtime executing a scenario that would be thrown out by any film producer with taste as too fanciful.
In addition to the mysterious attack in Sudan 1000km south of Israel - where did that drone come from and how was its operator able to home in on that specific car at night? - there was an equally mysterious event a month before on a crowded train in the Ukraine in broad daylight.
A Palestinian engineer, Dirar Abu-Sisi, travelling with his Ukranian-born wife, was kidnapped by men flashing identity cards. He subsequently surfaced in an Israeli prison without having passed through any extradition proceedings or with any Ukrainian official professing to know what happened to him.
A few weeks later, Israeli naval commandos armed with specific intelligence boarded a Liberian flag vessel, Victoria, in the Mediterranean 300km off Israel's coast and diverted it to an Israeli port where 50 tonnes of weapons destined for Hamas were confiscated. All this within six weeks.
If this was not enough, well-informed Arab sources say that the Hamas official killed in Sudan, al-Askar, was the successor to Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, the Hamas operative assassinated in Dubai last year by a large Mossad hit team using false passports. In an additional twist, a Kuwait newspaper, Al-Jerida, reported this week that al-Askar's whereabouts had been divulged to Israel by the Palestinian engineer kidnapped in the Ukraine, Abu-Sisi.
Two of the Mossad's principal efforts in recent years have been to sabotage the Iranian nuclear programme and to halt the flow of arms from Iran to Gaza, particularly rockets capable of hitting Israeli cities.
Sudan has been a major transshipment point, with weapons unloaded in its ports trucked into Egypt on the way to Gaza. In 2009, warplanes swooped down on a truck convoy in Sudan carrying arms for Hamas, killing 119 persons and planes hit a ship also reportedly carrying arms in a port. Israel was accused but made no comment.
When Abu-Sisi was brought to Israel, officials said he was wanted for questioning because he headed Hamas' efforts to upgrade its rocket arsenal. According to Al-Jerida, Israel was in fact after more topical information - the whereabouts of al-Askar who was to co-ordinate a new shipment of Gaza-bound rockets via Sudan. Al-Askar arrived in Port Sudan on the Red Sea last Wednesday NZT in a small plane from the Sudanese capital, Khartoum. He was met at the airport by local associates and drove towards the port city. He never reached it.

Israel, Gaza terrorists enter cease-fire
Israel and terrorist groups in Gaza reportedly agreed to a cease-fire.The agreement came late Sunday night and was followed by a Kassam rocket fired on Ashkelon and ten mortar shells that hit southern Israel. Israel did not respond to the rockets, showing that the cease-fire was holding, according to reports.
The agreement came hours after government ministers ordered the army "to continue to act against those responsible for terrorism."
The cease-fire came after a weekend in which more than 120 rockets were fired at Israel, including one that struck a school bus seriously injuring a teen, and in which Israeli retaliatory strikes on terrorism sites killed 19 Gaza Palestinians.
"We will judge the other side over the next few days. The extent to which Hamas controls the other militant groups will affect the way we choose to act," a senior Israeli official told Reuters.
A senior Palestinian source quoted in the international Arabic newspaper Al-Sharq al-Aswat said that Egypt is working to seal the current unwritten cease-fire and asked the United Nations envoy to the Middle East Robert Serry to help in negotiationsIsraeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Monday decried the ceasefire, telling Israel Radio that "Hamas is fighting a war of attrition against us. We won't come to terms with a situation in which they decide when there's quiet and when the area heats up."
He accused Hamas of taking advantage of the recent months of relative quiet to smuggle in more and farther-reaching rockets.
Israeli military strikes on Gaza began April 7 after Hamas fired an anti-tank rocket at a school bus, critically injuring a teenage boy and the bus driver.
