CNN Poll: Americans want KSM tried in military court

Washington (CNN) – Two-thirds of Americans disagree with the Obama administration's decision to try Khalid Sheik Mohammed in a civilian court rather than a military court, according to a new national poll.

But six in 10 people questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Monday say that the alleged mastermind of the 9/11 attacks should be tried in the United States, as the administration plans to do, rather than at a U.S. facility in another country.

The poll indicates that 64 percent believe Mohammed should be tried in military court, with 34 percent suggesting that he face trial in civilian court. Six in 10 people questioned say Mohammed should be tried stateside, with 37 percent calling for the trial to take place at a U.S. facility in another country.

"The decision to bring Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in front of a civilian court is universally unpopular - even a majority of Democrats and liberals say that he should be tried by military authorities," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland. "Despite that, most Americans say that he will get a fair trial in the U.S."

Mohammed is one of five Guantanamo Bay detainees with alleged ties to the 9/11 attacks that will be tried in civilian court in New York.
"After eight years of delay, those allegedly responsible for the attacks of September 11 will finally face justice," U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder announced Friday.

Mohammed, Ramzi Bin al-Shibh, Walid bin Attash, Ali Abdul Aziz Ali and Mustafa Ahmed al-Hawsawi will all be transferred to the Southern District of New York - a few blocks from where the World Trade Center towers stood prior to the September 11, 2001 attacks.

What should happen if Mohammed is found guilty?

"Nearly eight in 10 favor the death penalty if that happens - including one in five who say they normally oppose the death penalty, but would support it in this case," adds Holland.

The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll was conducted November 13-15, with 1,014 adult Americans questioned by telephone. The survey's sampling error is plus or minus 3 percentage points for the overall sample.

In ancient times, the Jewish Supreme Court ( The Sanhedrin ), constituted 70 Judges! In cases where death penalty was mandatory ( 4 types - do some Goggling..), the sentence had to be unanimous! ( Imagine 70 Jews trying to reach a consensus !....).

A Sanhedrin that carried out a death sentence once in 70 years, was called " The Lethal Sanhedrin "!

Adolf Eichmann's trail in 1961 ( which I heard on the radio...), was unique in many aspects. I will note just two.
1 - No body knew who Adolf Eichmann was and what he did before the trail !
2 - Every Israeli knows today some thing about him because of his trail !

The Israeli Supreme Court rejected Eichmann's appeal ! He was hanged by his neck until death, his body was cremated and his ashes were dispersed over the Mediterranean Sea !

All of this, is NOT because he was a "soldier who obeyed orders" as he said, but because he volunteered to excel in it !

The Israeli "Law for bringing the Nazis and their Helpers to Justice", stood under another test in the case of Ivan Demanyuk. The Israeli Supreme Court acquitted him on a "Shadow of a doubt" and by doing so MY Supreme Court is not stained with the mark " LETHAL !" and I'm very proud of it!

Since the Israeli "Law for bringing the Nazis and their Helpers to Justice", is useless today, (the last Nazi died peacefully in bed at the age of 93 a couple of years ago!...), the law must be abolished or up-dated and modified as time changes!

Anti-Semitism and Nazism is still alive in this form or another and there is no indication of its willingness to disappear! It just changed languages and flags!...

Look at Ahmedinejad & Co. for instance and I have a long list to add.

Erdogan promises Iran Turkish intelligence aid against Israel

In the secret part of their talks in Tehran on Oct. 28, DEBKAfile's military sources reveal that Turkish prime minister Tayyep Recep Erdogan and Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad struck military cooperation deals which promised Iran Turkish military intelligence and air force assistance against a possible Israeli attack on its nuclear sites.

Their understandings have bound Turkish to pass intelligence data to Tehran on potential Israeli preparations for a strike and on US military movements in the Middle East for providing backup. Our sources report that the details finalized in meetings between the Turkish and Iranian military specialists in Istanbul Monday, Nov. 9, were due to be sealed by presidents Abdullah Gul and Ahmadinejad Tuesday. The Iranian president is to be in Turkey as guest of the Islamic Conference.

The Turkish prime minister has not only buried his country's longstanding military and intelligence ties with Israel but climbed aboard the adversarial axis confronting the Jewish state. Turkey has agreed to round out the forward surveillance outposts encircling Israel's borders: Hamas from the southwest in Gaza, Syria in the east, Lebanon in the north and now Turkey from the northwest. Tehran is banking on this encirclement for early warning of an approaching Israeli strike and any supportive American movements.

According to Western intelligence sources in Ankara, heads of the Turkish army objected to their government's strategic turn to Iran and the cutoff of its ties with Israel. However its pro-Islamic leaders, which have gradually eased the army out of policymaking, have forced them to accept operational ties with the military of an anti-Western Middle Eastern nation as being in the nation's best interests.

Erdogan's most compelling argument is that President Barack Obama's secret proposal for Iran to deposit 400 kilos of its enriched Iran in Turkey for safekeeping in charge of International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors, had elevated Turkey to an enhanced role as a broker between the US and Iran, sanctioned by Agency director Mohamed ElBaradei. If Turkey, a member of NATO, was able to gain the Iranian regime's trust, the Turkish prime minister maintained, it was only thanks to the military understandings he reached in Tehran.

DEBKAfile's military sources report that word of the Turkish-Iranian military collaboration deal landed with shocking effect in Washington and Jerusalem. They had not forewarned by their intelligence services that Erdogan was willing to go as far as this to ally Turkey with the Islamic regime.

On November 6, 2009, I directed that an immediate inventory be conducted of all intelligence in U.S. Government files that existed prior to November 6, 2009, relevant to the tragic shooting at Fort Hood, Texas, especially anything having to do with the alleged shooter, Major Nidal Malik Hasan, U.S. Army.

In addition, I directed an immediate review be initiated to determine how any such intelligence was handled, shared, and acted upon within individual departments and agencies and what intelligence was shared with others.

This inventory and review shall be conducted in a manner that does not interfere with the ongoing criminal investigations of the Fort Hood shooting.

The results of this inventory and review, as well as any recommendations for improvements to procedures and practices, shall be provided to John Brennan, Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, who will serve as the principal point of contact on this matter for the White House.

Preliminary results of this review shall be provided by November 30, 2009.

I will be back posting in full when the madness, and madness is the word, of the free world either is cured or swept away by the coming war when common courtesy, common decency and common sense returns.

Has America lost its mind?

Nidal Malik Hasan, the U.S. Army psychiatrist who murdered and wounded dozens of people at Fort Hood, was a Muslim fanatic who wrote Internet postings praising Islamic suicide bombers and was in touch with the former radical leader of a Virginia mosque who had associations with the 9/11 hijackers. The Army knew Hassan was a supporter of the Islamic jihad against the west; he had been under investigation for six months.

Yet he remained an Army Major, with access to military intelligence and lethal weaponry. Why? Because the Army was afraid that if it dealt with Hassan it would violate the principle of "diversity."

From the moment Hassan's murder spree was announced, Army spokesmen and media pundits alike expressed puzzlement about what his motive could have been. Are they nuts? We at the Freedom Center have no doubt about what his motive was. I'll bet you don't either. The American people are enraged - but they are also confused as a result of the years-long campaign to minimize the threat of radical Islam, to paint Islam as "the religion of peace," and to marginalize critics of the jihad as guilty of "Islamophobia."

I'm writing to ask your help - and because of the fog being spread over the worst terror attack on U.S. soil since 9/11 by the mainstream media and even U.S. Army officials in Washington, we need to act immediately. Wake up America

As our media and President trip over themselves, rushing to take the politically correct line that Radical Islam is the problem and most Muslims are peaceful; we should chalk this massacre up as just another isolated example of a religious madman gone nuts.

This is the second time this has happened in less than six months; in June another Islamic nut job murdered a soldier in Arkansas. Last year a Muslim Naval officer was convicted of passing information to terrorists. In the war in Iraq in 2003 a Muslim serving in our military turned his gun on his own compatriots. The FBI can confirm that they are watching hundreds of Mosques around the country yet we continue to protect the great peaceful religion of Islam in our midst.

As a Western country we cherish freedom of speech and freedom of religion. However, in countries where Islam is in the majority, the opposite is true. Millions of Christians have been persecuted with death, rape and the vandalizing of their churches. There are virtually no Jews living in Muslim countries as they have already been ethnically cleansed after Israel, the Jewish state, was founded in 1948. Why should western cultures offer tolerance of Islam when that tolerance is not reciprocated in Muslim countries toward Jews and Christians?

The argument that most Muslims are peaceful is irrelevant. In Germany, most Germans were not Nazis but that did not stop the Nazis from taking control and terrorizing its non-Nazi population. Even if the majority of Muslims are not terrorists or do not support terror, they have shown neither the ability nor the desire to reign in the terrorist element. Because Islam is classified by ignorant people as just a religion, they cannot wrap their minds around the fact that Islam is also a movement that is political, ideological, and all-encompassing. It is the same as Nazism but worse because in this politically correct culture, we focus only on its religious component but fail to study its political and aggressive militaristic nature in history as well as what is happening today. We also deny or ignore the atrocities and genocides committed by Islam in order to dominate its empire as well as spreading itself through its military plunder.

Any scholar of Islam recognizes the legalized deception allowed and encouraged by Islamic Shariah law to spread its faith. For example, CAIR (Council for American Islamic Relations) has been exposed as a covert terror organization and the FBI has broken its ties with them because of their terror connections. CAIR just denounced the Fort Hood Massacre as not becoming of the Islamic faith, yet there is overwhelming evidence that privately they support such atrocities.

What might you say we should do to combat this threat? We at the Shoebat Foundation are not afraid to speak the truth and it is obvious what we should do.

First we must discharge all Muslims who work for the Military, the FBI, the CIA, DHS or other counter-terror organizations. While Muslims who might be loyal to the USA will suffer, we must at the same time recognize that we cannot judge whether a Muslim is loyal or not, but based on the ideology of a true Muslim and based on the teachings of the Quran and Hadith we know that the objective of Islam is to subjugate all under its yoke. Since deception and lying are allowed under Shariah law, these are facts that we must face and deal with head on.

Offending Muslims!? Please! As an American I am offended that Muslims - radical or not - think they can kill and maim Americans because their book says it is ok to do so. Aren’t you? I am offended that the “peaceful” Muslims are not reigning in the “radicals”. I am offended that Muslims openly show hostility toward Jews and have an anti-Semitic bent that is embedded in their faith. I am offended as an American that a Muslim took about $500,000 worth of free education provided by the American tax payer to become a doctor and then preached hatred of the country that gave him that opportunity. A Muslim was given a better life and then turned his gun on his fellow American soldiers because Allah said that it was a good thing to do.

Wake up America or else the next time 9/11 might look like a very small man-made disaster compared to what might come our way if we continue to enable our President's ideological suicide pact with the American people

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Virginia prosecutors are asking a state court to set a November 9 execution date for John Allen Muhammad, convicted in a series of sniper-style shootings that terrorized the Washington area in 2002.

John Allen Muhammad was sentenced to death for the slaying of Dean Harold Meyers.

In a letter dated Wednesday, Senior Assistant Attorney General Katherine B. Burnett said the November date "has been carefully coordinated with the governor's office to insure his availability for any clemency petition Muhammad may wish to pursue." Burnett enclosed a copy of a proposed execution order "for the court's convenience."

Muhammad's attorney said he will file an appeal with the U.S. Supreme Court, and will ask the governor for clemency.

During a three-week period in October 2002, police say, Muhammad and his young protege, Lee Boyd Malvo, shot 13 people, killing 10. The two also are suspected in other shootings and murders in Tacoma, Washington, Montgomery, Alabama, and the Washington, D.C., area.

Muhammad, now 48, was convicted of murder in the death of Dean Harold Meyers at a Manassas, Virginia, filling station. Meyers was killed by a single bullet, which became the signature of the two-person sniper team.

Ultimately, Muhammad was convicted of the Meyers' killing and of one Maryland murder, which prosecutors there said was "insurance" in case the Virginia conviction was overturned.

Malvo was convicted of one Virginia shooting and was sentenced to life imprisonment.

Muhammad's attorney, Jon Sheldon, released the prosecutor's letter Friday.

The letter, addressed to the chief judge of the Prince William County Circuit Court, says the court must hold a hearing within 10 days of receiving the letter, and must set an execution date no later than 60 days after the hearing.

Since Muhammad is not required to be at the hearing, Burnett asks that the court conduct the hearing by means of a conference call.
